If you are not selling products through CartHero funnels, verifying your domain and hostnames is optional.
1. Click on your profile in the top right and click on settings
2. Click on "Domain" under settings
3. Type in your domain name and click configure domain
4. Copy the TXT name
5. Visit your domain provider and open your DNS settings
The following screen shots are from Godaddy, but the process remains the same for other providers
6. Click on Add DNS record
7. Select TXT record from Type
8. Paste in the TXT Value that you copied to your clipboard
9. Copy the TXT value from the CartHero dashboard
10. Paste the TXT value inside the value
11. Click on Add record / Save record
Depending on your domain provider, you might be prompted to double check the txt name. The record should only contain your domain 1 time.
12. Inside CartHero click on Save Domain
13. Please allow up to 1 hour for verification
In most cases this verification process takes 5 minutes or less. To check the status, refresh your CartHero dashboard.
14. Once your domain shows verified, click on "Edit Hostnames"
15. Enter in your desired hostname such as Shop, Deals, etc.
This is the domain that you will use for your funnels. If you choose "Shop" your domain will look like: shop.yourdomain.com
17. Click on Add hostname
18. Copy the point to address which is funnel.carthero.com
19. Go back to your DNS Management
20. Click on Add
21. Select CNAME as the type
22. Add in your hostname (Ex: "shop")
23. Paste "funnel.carthero.com" into the value
24. Click on Add record
25. Congrats! You connected your domain and a hostname
Please allow up to 24 hours for your hostname to verify. In most cases, your new hostname is verified within a few hours.
