1. In this tutorial, we are going to go over how to add new members to your subscription product.
There are two different to add members to your subscription product. The first way is, if you are using the CartHero funnel builder to create orders and you want to add people to your subscription from
2. If using the CartHero funnel builder, you can use any products from your catalog to sell, and when those products are sold, people can join your membership.
You don't have to dedicate a certain product to be a subscription product, it can be done at the funnel step level.
3. Inside of your funnel, click on the order page
4. Click Add product
5. You are going to want to select the product you want your customer to buy, when joining your subscription plan
6. Click on the product you are selling
7. On this page is where you are able to change the price of the product you are selling, and it is also where you can toggle on the switch to subscribe your customers to one of your plans.
The price that you set your initial product to be sold at, will not affect the subscription price that your customer will be charged at each re-bill. You can set your initial product price at whatever amount you would like.
8. Search and select the plan you are wanting to add those customers to
9. Under the trial period section is where you will decide how long you want it to be before your customers have their first re-bill.
If you do not set up a trial period, your customers will immediatly be charged your subscription price (so in this example, your customer would be charged $19.95 as soon as they place their order).
After your customers trial period is up, they will be charged, and we will generate an order for the products that you have in Sequence #1 of your subscription plan.
10. Since we are doing a Coffee of the Month club, we are going to set our trial period to 30 Days.
11. After you decide your trial period, you can then Save step product
12. Now your customer will be added to your subscription plan
The customer will receive the product you selected in this funnel as their first product, and then they will receive the products in Sequence #1 after their first re-bill.
13. If you are using our product match, coming from a third part funnel builder, the process is going to work the same way.
You can sell any product on your funnel, and when the order comes in, we are going to match it to whatever product you want your customer to receive on the initial order, and then we are going to subscribe them to the subscription plan.
14. Click on Product Match and go to the Product tab
15. Click on the product you are wanting to match
16. Search for and add the product you are wanting to be matched to
17. You will then toggle on the Subscribe customers to plan, just like you would if you were using the CartHero funnel builder
18. Select the trial period you want your customers to have before their first re-bill
If you do not set up a trial period, your customers will immediatly be charged your subscription price.
After your customers trial period is up, they will be charged, and we will generate an order for the products that you have in Sequence #1 of your subscription plan.
19. If you are used to using Clickfunnels, then you are used to setting up your products as subscription products, but we are going to do it differently, which will simplify the process.
For this, you are going to want to set up the products in Clickfunnels as one time products, and when the order comes into CartHero, you are going to match the product, subscribe customers to plan, and set up the trial period.
The reason you want to do this, is because whenever we subscribe customers to the plan, we are going to subscribe them with whichever variant they are supposed to get (for example, if your subscription is t-shirts and your customer selects the medium variant for their initial order, when we subscribe them to a subscription, we are going to subscribe them to get a medium on future renewals).
If you continue to use the Clickfunnels method, we are not going to know which variants you customer needs to get because we did not set up the subscription.
20. Your customer will get the first initial product that you product matched in step 16, and then they will get the products you added to Sequence #1 after their first re-bill.
21. Once customers have been added as subscription members, you can view the members and the charges they have received by going to All under the Subscription tab.
22. Click on any of your customers that you would like to view
23. Here you can view your customers recent orders, how many orders, and how much they have spent
24. On the right hand side, you can also view any subscriptions that your customer has ever been subscribed to, and if they are active or not.
25. Click on your subscription title
26. Here you will be able to see any charges and orders that this customer has purchased once they start re-billing.
